Documentarian, film critic, historian and Youtuber.

I’m currently available for collaborations, podcasts and interesting projects.

After studying film at Concordia University in Montreal, I briefly peeked into the real world before starting a youtube channel. My channel allows me to combine my love of research and writing with my passion for film and film history.

I primarily work out of my home studio in Canada. Luckily, I have a space that allows me the freedom to write, film and edit with the help of my little dog, Esther. Actually, she’s more of a hindrance, but I love her anyway.

True Crime Series

I take an in-depth look at each case to create a succinct video that tells the real story.

How do I do it?

I research the case. I track down and look at as much news coverage from the time as possible, then comb through witness testimony and trial transcripts.

Hollywood History Series

I have always been fascinated by Old Hollywood. The history, the pioneers, the characters and the often shocking realities of life in the movie business. It is amazing to me that in some instances there is so little information left about the people who, at the time, were huge international stars. It’s often a challenge to research people and events that should be already well-documented. But, due to the nature of celluloid that was used to make film, the cheapness of the gossip magazines, and the push to keep the movie industry racing ahead, so much was taken for granted and had no value placed on it. Now, more than a century on, it’s more important than ever to document and remember those who created one of the most powerful and important industries in the world.

Is This Art? Series

I’ve done several video essays on other YouTubers and their channels. My intention with the Is It Art? series, is to show youtube as a legitimate art form and analyze the artists themselves using a critical, film theory lens.

After university, I was working as a Casting Assistant when someone dropped a box of 1980s Punk Rock homemade videotapes on my doorstep. The holy grail of early punk.

I went down the rabbit hole and spent the better part of a year studying that old footage and interviewing participants. I tracked down even more footage, photos and gig posters as I went along.

That project continues as a self-funded labour of love. Look for it in the future.
